your tenancy
Looking after your home | Home insurance | Our responsibilities Your tenancy agreement is a legal contract. It describes the rights and responsibilities of you (the tenant) and us (the landlord). Most of our existing residents have an assured tenancy agreement or an assured shorthold tenancy agreement. We use probationary tenancies for all new residents. They help us manage problems that may arise, particularly antisocial behaviour or other neighbour nuisance. They go on week by week until either you or we end it by giving notice. After a year they automatically convert to a full-assured tenancy, giving you a lot more long-term security. In 2001 our tenancy agreements achieved Plain English Campaign's Crystal Mark. This means they are free of jargon and are very easy to read and understand. |
