Home Ownership push ![]() Sovereign Housing Group has beefed up its home ownership business following a surge of interest in part-buy part-rent homes across the south and south west of England.
Tony Quigley has been appointed Assistant Director of Home Ownership at Sovereign, as the housing provider announced it is now selling a part-buy part-rent property every working day. He joins from Aster Group, where he was Partnerships Director, and brings 20 years' sector experience with landlords and local government. He said: "This is one of the biggest jobs in home ownership in the sector, so naturally I'm delighted to be appointed to ensure we're well positioned to meet the fast-changing demands of the sector. "This year, we expect to sell more than 300 properties in property hotspots such as Bristol, Swindon, Exeter, Southampton and Reading, plus nearly 100 on behalf of oth! er smaller landlords looking to be more efficient. Tony manages a 20-strong sales team based in three offices, who sold 300 properties in the year to March. Before joining Aster, Tony worked on the development side for the likes of Westlea, Magna and Jephson, and started his housing career at Kensington & Chelsea Council. Married with three sons, Tony is used to getting the most from his staff, as he is also a qualified football coach, and manages two boys' football teams in his spare time. Published 26 July 2007 |
