Sovereign is partner for affordable homes on
racecourse site
Sovereign Housing Association says it is extremely pleased to be involved in the major plans for Newbury Racecourse that were unveiled today. David Wilson Homes has been announced as the preferred developer for new homes on surplus land at the racecourse, and Sovereign will take on all the affordable homes on the site – houses and flats for rent and part buy, part rent. Paul Crawford, Sovereign’s Managing Director, said: “We’re delighted to be working with David Wilson Homes to build on our successful local partnership with them and get involved in such a unique and exciting opportunity. “Everyone knows we have a long-term commitment to Newbury - our home town. As the largest social landlord in the area, this flagship scheme is an excellent chance to make use of our recognised management experience and help meet the housing needs of local people.” Published 10 July 2006 |
