Nuisance neighbour gets marching orders
FED-UP residents of a Christchurch housing estate have breathed a sigh of relief after the eviction of a neighbour from hell.
Residents got so fed up with the late night parties, abuse and intimidation from Gary Colson in Dairy Close, Somerford, that they provided evidence so Twynham Housing Association could take him to court and secure the eviction last week. Resident Services Leader Winston Nelson said: "This man made his neighbours' life a misery, and we would like to thank them for helping us secure a conviction. These actions take a lot of patience and dedication, but we would urge other residents experiencing similar problems to get in touch." Twynham has a range of tools to ensure good behaviour from residents, of which evictions like this are the last resort. As a result of the eviction, it is very difficult to find a home with another social landlord. Published 11 August 2005 |
