Ecohomes
  EcoHomes is a way of assessing the design of housing by its environmental performance. The method balances the need for people to have a high quality of life in a safe and healthy home, against the impact each scheme has on wildlife, its use of resources and how it contributes to climate change problems.
The EcoHomes method lets sites be assessed on a four-point scale from 'pass' to 'excellent'. It looks at issues like energy, water, pollution, materials and transport, but gives developers some flexibility to use the best mix of solutions for each site. We aim to achieve an Ecohomes rating of 'very good' on all our new developments. |
